In 2004, Sleeping Bear Surf was founded through a desire of sharing the joyous act of playing in waves as a means of fostering a culture of community, and connection to our brilliant backyard. Now, 20 years on, that mission comes to life in film format. 

Introducing ‘In Waves’, a short film that highlights the why behind what we do, and the vision that founder & visionary, Beryl Skrocki, had around the potential for freshwater play when she swung open the doors of a surf shop, in a teeny tiny village, in the heart of the Great Lakes, all those years ago.
