After a two year hiatus, we’re bringing back a classic Sleeping Bear Surf tradition!
Join us for movie night under the MilkyWay, with popcorn too!
Here are the deets:
7:30pm – we’ll be down at the Empire Public Beach Lighthouse for our weekly Friday night gathering on the wall! Bring a dish to pass and a beverage, or just show up! Look for Jenny (our 1972 electric blue Chevy Cheyenne)!
Dash up to the shop post-sunset!
9:00pm – we’ll keep the party going at the shop!
We’ll have the big screen set up in the green space next to the shop. Bring a chair, a blanket, and a buddy!
What’s showing? Expect anything from classic surf flicks to inspiring new surf-based films. We’ll be determining the flick as the date nears and updating here.
The evening will also be dedicated to the wicked-awesome groms who will be completing Junior Waterman Camp the afternoon prior to movie night. Therefore we will have an awards ceremony and camp recap kicking off the night.

The streets of Empire are pretty enticing to cruise around on skateboards after dark… 😉
